Rev. David Wilkerson
The late Rev. David Wilkerson was our Founder but also one of the most prophetic voices America has ever seen. Not only did he have the vision for Teen Challenge but also Times Square Church and many other ministries. His legacy and fingerprint on our ministry will continue to be seen long into the future.
Rev. Don Wilkerson
Rev. Don Wilkerson worked with his brother Rev. David Wilkerson in the earliest days to build Teen Challenge as well as see it grow all over the nation and the world. He is the author of several books and continues to write, and speak at ministries all over the world in addition to providing leadership to Brooklyn TC.
Rev. Paul Burke
Pastor Paul Burke has been serving the ministry of Teen Challenge since 2008 and has been the Program Director here at Brooklyn since 2017. He is a licensed Assemblies of God Minister, as well as a graduate of Teen Challenge. Paul is married to Ashley Burke, who is also a minister and graduate of Teen Challenge. Together they raise their 3 sons while continuing to serve God wholeheartedly. Pastor Paul lives by the standard that everybody deserves a second chance and that no life is out of reach of God’s grace .
Josh serves as the program manager here at Brooklyn Teen Challenge. He graduated the men’s residential program in May 2015 and has worked here ever since. There is nothing he loves more than seeing the lives of men being changed for the glory of God
Debra has a deep passion and love for people especially those that are lost in the grip of addiction. She is a graduate of the Teen Challenge family and has served under the umbrella of Teen Challenge for the past 10 years. She is, also, a graduate of Brooklyn Teen Challenge School of Ministry and is, currently, serving in the Administration Office. She is originally from New Jersey and is a mother of three- Ashely, Matthew & Joshua.
TJ has a BA degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in Healthcare Administration and was affiliated with Milwaukee Teen Challenge for 2 years and Brooklyn Teen Challenge since July of 2017. Currently, in his role as Development Director, he has the privilege of providing inspiration to the team as they work to meet fundraising goals, building and maintaining relationships with donors and churches and creating program awareness throughout New York City and beyond. Furthermore, he is pursuing pastoral education through Global University and the Brooklyn Teen Challenge School of Ministry. TJ’s prayer is to one day coach and mentor inner-city youth as he demonstrates to them his commitment to Jesus Christ and the hope of a drug-free future.
Ashley is the Executive Administrative Assistant at Brooklyn Teen Challenge. She serves as the assistant to Pastor Don Wilkerson, our President and Co-Founder, Pastor Paul Burke, our Director, and Pastor Will Kitchen, our BTCSM Director and Campus Pastor. Ashley is a graduate of Teen Challenge of the Hawaiian Islands and is about to graduate her first year of classes with Brooklyn Teen Challenge School of Ministry. She loves serving the amazing leadership and enjoys being a part of the wonderful team here at Brooklyn Teen Challenge.
Matt Tischler is the IT director for Brooklyn Adult and Teen Challenge. He spent the early part of his career directing Information Technology in the financial sector. His passion is to use his gifts and talents to introduce the life changing power of the gospel to those in trouble. In 2017, he was dramatically changed by the ministry of Adult and Teen Challenge and knew God was calling him to assist others struggling with life controlling obstacles. He is pursuing his credential's as a minister and holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and Sound Arts. Matt enjoys mixing and recording music, small batch coffee and doesn’t miss a New York Knicks Basketball game
Rev. Will Kitchen
Will Kitchen is the Founder/Director of Brooklyn Teen Challenge School of Ministry and serves as Campus Pastor. As a licensed minister of the Assemblies of God, he has served in both Teen Challenge and local church settings. He is a 2006 graduate of Central Bible College, a 2017 graduate of Regent University with a Masters in Practical Theology, and is currently pursuing a second Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with the desire to become licensed with the state of New York. His greatest achievement is 11 years of marriage to his wife Mary and his 3 sons, Liam, Judson, and Micah.
Ricky is the men’s home house manager. He is originally from Orlando, Florida and has a passion for helping people who struggle with life controlling issues. He is no stranger to BTC because he too is also a graduate. If you don’t see him mingling with the students on campus than he is probably getting a work out in at the gym.
Becky serves as the Controller for Brooklyn Teen Challenge. She a product of Teen Challenge and the BTCSM graduating class of 2015. She has also completed her second phase of Global University and is on her way to her licensing through the Assembly of God. Becky also has a BA in Finance and Accounting from Kansas State University. Her favorite thing to do in Brooklyn is street ministry and loving on the lost.
Evan Shorey is the outreach and creative director for Brooklyn Adult and Teen Challenge. His passion is to introduce the worst of the worst that this world has to offer to the transforming power of the gospel. In 2010, he was radically changed by the ministry of Adult and Teen Challenge and knew then he was called to help others struggling with life controlling issues. Evan is originally from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and has been on staff with Adult and Teen Challenge for six years. He is a credentialed minister and holds a BA degree in music business. Evan loves playing music, New York style pizza, cheering on Oklahoma college football, Thunder basketball, and doesn’t miss a Dallas Cowboys football game.
Alex Willis is the Intake Coordinator for Brooklyn Teen Challenge. Alex struggled most of his life with addiction and heavy drug use which landed him at the doorsteps of Teen Challenge years ago. Prior to coming to Brooklyn, Alex completed the program in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Alex was called to Brooklyn Teen Challenge School of Ministry and has been serving at BTC ever since. Alex’s main objective is to introduce broken people to Jesus, get them enrolled into the program and help them cultivate a life free from addiction.
